This and many other helpful forms can be found on our Yachtscoring page under “General Race Forms.”

Application/Notices/Instructions

Registration is now done on-line using YachtScoring.com.  (This link has been updated for Spring 2024.)  In addition, the Notice of Race (NOR) and Sailing Instructions (SI’s) for the racing season will be found on YachtScoring, as will the Scratch Sheet and, most important, Race Results.

YachtScoring is pretty simple – the following screenshots from 2010 will show you how registration works. The first screen you see is like this one.  The red arrow shows what to click on:

Next you have to enter your email address – the first time you don’t have a password, so leave this blank and click on “continue…”:

This takes you to the Main Screen – all the items highlighted with a red asterisk MUST be filled out.  Select your division: spinnaker or non-spinnaker.  Class assignments will be based on entries and ratings.  (Entry form has been modified since 2010.)

Once registered, the next screen sequence takes you through the waiver and payment processes; note that you now can use PayPal to pay; if you have an account, you know the process. If not, you can use PayPal to pay by credit card without signing up for PayPal:

You’ll see this next (with updated prices) – enter the amount to be paid, click “continue…”

And then you see this:

Interesting…our fee rose only $5 in 12 years, but the cost of a burgee is up about 50%.

Click “continue…” and that will take you to PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, you know the process. If not, you can pay by credit card without signing up for PayPal, as highlighted by the red circle:

The credit card screen is pretty standard – complete it and you’re all set!

Once you’re signed up, confirm that your boat is on the Entry List and check out the other BI items in YachtScoring.  When we receive your entry fee and confirm your rating through yralis.org, the rating will appear on our Scratch Sheet, which confirms that you are eligible to race.
